It's time for a summer sale!!

In honor of Shark Week, and our favorite toothy visitors down on Cape Cod, I thought it would be fun to make some sugar scrubs inspired by my all time favorite thing: SHARKS!!

What's this you say? How do you make a shark themed sugar scrub??

First I started with a base scent that I used for all six scents...a gorgeous aquatic blend that calls to mind the ocean, and then added different top notes to each one making them unique in their own way.

Here are the sugar scrub scents that will be offered in this sale:

Great White Shark – The Smell of “White Death”: Vanilla, icy white mint, and a dab of eucalyptus over an aquatic base of kelp, ozone, and salty sea air.

Bull Shark – Feral red and blue musks mingled muscadine grapes and a hint of leather over an aquatic base of kelp, ozone, and salty sea air.

Tiger Shark –Fresh citrus and green grass with a splash of Egyptian musk over an aquatic base of kelp, ozone, and salty sea air.

Caribbean Reef Shark – A hint of opium mingled with coconut, fresh pineapples and rum cake over an aquatic base of kelp, ozone, and salty sea air.

Lemon Shark – Yuzu, papaya, and lemon over an aquatic base of kelp, ozone, and salty sea air.
Sleeper Shark - Lavender with a touch of vanilla over an aquatic base of kelp, ozone, and salty sea air.

Preview of Halloween Goodies!

Closing the Doors...

Hi all!

I have some sad news - I'll be closing the shop at the end of this year. Between my full time job, less time to be able to do this, and sales falling short of expectations, I had to make the tough choice to close. It won't be a permanent closure, as I hope to reopen again in the future, either for seasonal sales, or full time again down the road.

There WILL be a Black Friday sale - I'll be marking down all remaining inventory, as I am trying to move everything that is currently made. There is also a small amount of Winter  offerings, I just added to the shop.

Anything that is ordered between today and Black Friday will be packed up next weekend to ship on Monday 12/2

Announcing new Fall in New England Scents!!!

Hello my Lovlies!

I've been busy blending up some new scents down in the Happy Button workshop, and all has been finalized! We have 5 all new scents for the Fall in New England Collection!

The Olde Sugar House - orange and red maple leaves mingled with the sugary sweet scent of pure Vermont Maple syrup!

Pumpkin Cheesecake - a fall classic! blending two of everyone's favorite things...pumpkin pie and cheesecake!

The Smell of October - That perfect scent of the cool crisp air with the slight chill that warns of a winter not far away, dry leaves, a bit of earth.

Mums in the Apple Orchard - Autumn mums, one of the first blooms of the fall season being sold at the Apple Orchard farmer's market...

Marshmallows around the campfire - the smell of the wood gently smoldering in the fire pit, with gooey marshmallows being roasted and bubbling to golden perfection...



and.....an Anniversary  scent!

I can't believe it's been almost two years already since Happy Button Soap Co. has opened it's doors back on October 1, 2011, and to commemorate this milestone, I've created a special scent!

Starlet - a sexy orange satsuma touched with Golden Opium, over a bed a vanilla bean noel. Sexy, sophisticated, and worthy of attention!


these scents will be made in Sugar scrubs, as well as a variety of other product forms - I'll be making these up next weekend, and they will be listed live for sale the weekend of September 14th, as soon as I return from vacation.

As many of you know, I opened my shop just after my wedding back in 2011, so not only is it 2 years that Happy Button Soap Co. has been going strong, but it's also been 2 years that I've been married to my best friend and wonderful husband! Hubby and I will be taking a week off for our anniversary, but as soon as we return, all these wonderful Fall items will go live for sale!

Up coming Craft show in Wrentham, Ma and a Facebook Contest!

Right now Happy Button Soap Co. is holding a contest on Facebook to see what kind of scent creations our customers come up with!  for this contest, go to THIS POST on Facebook, and comment with a scent inspiration you would like to see us make, OR "LIKE" someone else's creation in their comment....this will go on until Friday.

Winter Wonderland is now Up!

Hi all,

Sorry for the delay this morning, I'm having an issue with the inventory bars on Bigcartel. I don't think it will impact anyone's ordering capability, but just know that even though they inventory bars look like they are low, all items were fully stocked - so, I guess just ignore that for now. I'll be watching to make sure it doesn't list anything as being sold out prematurely.

Info about Winter Wonderland Scrubs and Black Friday Sale!

Hello!


New Winter Wonderland Scrubs are on the site for a preview! These will go live tomorrow morning at 9:30am EST - You'll notice the shampoo/conditioner/lotion sections all say "Coming soon" because the new winter scents have been loaded in, so these all also go active tomorrow morning!

You'll also see the Black friday sale sections are also up for a preview, there are a LOT of items that will fall into these two sections - they will all go live on Black Friday morning at 6:30am EST. Instead of dealing with a discount code, I put the 30% discounted prices already in, so the prices you see in these sections already reflect the 30% discount.

Lastly, for Black Friday, the shipping profiles are set up in Paypal, and in some cases, since it's based on Order amount spent and zip code, with the sale prices being lower than usual, paypal may charge less for shipping that what I can actually fit into a box - for example, anything less then $15 goes small flat rate, though with scrubs marked down it may still come in under $15 but they will need to go in Regional rate A, which depending on your location, may cost a tiny bit more than small flat rate. If that happens, I will invoice you for the shipping overages, if any. We'll play it by ear!

Almost a year old! Updates!

Woo-hoo! Even though I was on vacation from my other job, I still managed to get a lot done this week for Happy Button! Just a few updates before I re-open on Monday 8/27/12, so there are no surprises: I have decided to pull down some of the collections that have been around for a while, partly because of sales, and partly to change things up - HOWEVER, I know what the favorites are, so I decided to make a collection for just the best sellers - Here you will find a few from each of the collections that did well on sales, and that I frequently had requests for. Some of the others that have been pulled down, the remaining inventory is going to be sold off at Craft shows, and whatever doesn't sell there, I will probably relist on the site in the clearance section. I also have the NEW Fall in New England collection up for preview on Monday - these will go live at 9:30am September 1st! The new collection has 3 old returning favorites, and 2 new scents! Both the fall scrubs, and the Best seller scrubs are available for the 3 for $30 discount code, if you type in 3FOR30 at checkout! Also - New Puppy Perfumes! I've been making these for my pup Koumpi for a while now, and we love them! I use them after his bath, and He smells fantastic for up to a week! (My dog has hair, not fur, so I can't be certain if the staying power is the same on fur...so if your dog has fur and it lasts, let me know!)

Finally, It's almost been a year that Happy Button Soap Company has been in business! I have made a special limited edition scent, made in limited qty (once it's gone, it's gone!) as a gift set to commemorate this milestone!
